Meet Dr. Williams
Hair Restoration Surgeon & Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Zinaria Williams is a board-certified and fellowship-trained hair restoration surgeon, oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, clinically-trained herbalist, and author. She was trained directly by Dr. Robin Unger. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in facial reconstruction and aesthetics, which informs her approach to hair transplant surgery, hair restoration, and facial rejuvenation.
As a surgeon and herbalist, she offers a range of options to manage hair loss, including holistic and plant-based methods, pharmaceutical medical therapy, minimally invasive procedures, and surgery to reduce loss and support restoration.
Hair is often a reflection of what is happening within our bodies. In addition to understanding a patient’s medical history, as part of her holistic approach, Dr. Williams will also dive into discussions about lifestyle and diet to address contributors of hair loss, such as inflammation, hormone imbalances, and stress.
Dr. Zinaria Williams teaches residents as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She has been recognized for her surgical skills and clinical work, winning several awards for her dedication and service to her field. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals, books, and continues to present research around the world.
Her writing outside of clinical practice focuses on the culture of medicine, illustrating the harmful consequences medical training and medical culture has on doctors, juxtaposed against the struggles of patients, who suffer the downstream effects. Her opinion pieces and literary essays advocate for the healthcare provider community and patients who suffer from healthcare inequity.
Driven by a lifelong desire to provide expert medical care to underserved communities, Dr. Williams has participated in several humanitarian trips to Central America. She has continued to provide her services to those who lack access to proper care over the course of her career.
Dr. Williams performs hair transplant surgery and PRP using the same technique and attention as Dr. Robin Unger.
