Post-craniotomy scar, twelve months after one surgery
This young man had a craniotomy for a brain tumor and was left with a very obvious, centrally located scar. In consultation, Dr Robin Unger explained that because of the surrounding hair density and limited vascular supply within the scar tissue, it would be likely that two surgeries would be needed to achieve good cosmetic results. However, the results after one surgery – shown in the photo – provided the patient with sufficient camouflage and a second procedure was not necessary.
