Women’s Hair Loss Doctor New York
This past week, Dr. Robin Unger, one of the top women’s hair loss doctors in New York, played an integral role on the host committee for the UNWomen and Foundation for Gender Equality at the first annual “A Call to Action for Gender Equality: Achieving ‘Planet 50-50’ by 2030” conference. The conference was held right here in New York City at UN Headquarters, and touted an impressive cast of characters including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon; Lakshmi Puri, Assistant-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UN Women; two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion Abby Wambach; Lara Logan, Correspondent for 60 Minutes; Cathy Malloy, First Lady of Connecticut; Loreen Arbus, President of the Loreen Arbus Foundation; Professor Nadia Badawi, leading neonatologist and recipient of the Order of Australia Medal, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation; two-time Academy Award winner and two-time Emmy Award Winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy; who presented the conference’s closing keynote; as well as a whole host of other internationally known authorities, subject matter experts and individual heroes who shared stories of empowerment. Amongst those inspiring anecdotes, the conference leaders also discussed many step-stone goals in achieving gender equality, including:
- Ending violence against women and girls
- Economic disparity and empowerment
- Reliable access to quality healthcare
- Education for women
- Roles of boys and men in gender equality
As a leading hair restoration doctor that New York residents turn to, and a successful business woman, Dr. Robin Unger shared her duties in hosting an array of like-minded humanists with many other prominent business leaders, financiers and philanthropists working collaboratively with the UN Women team. They were also supported by a “NextGen” panel of passionate young leaders, eager to improve the quality of life for generations to come.
According to Unger, and the other conference hosts, participation across all segments of society is imperative for a project of this scale and importance to move forward. It’s a unique platform to educate, empower and advance women, communities, states and nations all around the world. High profile events like these can afford an opportunity for motivated individuals to engage with one another and invest in the current and future status of women. Philanthropists, business leaders, and the private sector have a key role in ensuring full gender equality, achieving “Planet 50-50” by 2030!
Dr. Robin Unger is grateful to her long-time friends, Darcy Garner of Channel Family Asset and Richard Fitzburg, a Financial Advisor with RBC Wealth Management, for this great opportunity to be part of such a great cause. One of the greatest moments of the day was listening to Jewel’s inspiring story and moving music.
As a leading women’s hair loss doctor New York residents’ trust, Dr. Robin Unger isn’t just dedicated to improving the livelihood of her patients through her treatment, but is also passionate about using her time outside of the office to improve the world her patients live in, one step or one conference at a time.
