Dr. Unger to give seminar at Mt Sinai School of Medicine

As part of her ongoing commitment to teaching, Dr. Robin Unger will give a special seminar to the plastic surgery residents at Mt Sinai School of Medicine on Nov 12, 2014. The increase in popularity of hair transplant surgery makes the teaching of this procedure important in more areas of aesthetic medicine than ever. Although the dermatology residents at Mt Sinai are fortunate enough to have this as part of their curricula, Dr. Unger also has lectured to the obstetrics and gynecology residents, the plastic surgery residents, and physicians in other fields of medicine.

The goal of the seminar is to teach the basics of the procedure to the residents, highlight some of the more difficult debates in the field and allow time for the residents to ask questions and provide feedback from their unique perspective. This will include UTE (unified tissue extraction/strip harvest), FUE, FUT, multifollicular unit grafts, PRP and ACell treatment and other new innovations in the treatment of hair loss. As always, Dr Unger looks forward to this opportunity, not only because it helps educate the next generation of doctors, but because she always learns something new from her “students” – and this allows her to continuously evolve in her practice. She is honored to have been given this opportunity by the Mt Sinai School of Medicine and Dr. Peter Taub
