Correcting “pluggy looking” hair transplant
Correcting “pluggy looking” hair transplant

This patient came to see Dr. Robin Unger to repair a hair transplant done many years ago. He had two surgeries to repair the frontal two thirds of the scalp and eliminate the “pluggy look” and then he had a third surgery to complete coverage of his scalp. As part of each surgery, his pre-existing scars were minimized which made his donor area also look more dense. His surgeries consisted of a total of approximately 2300FU, 300DFU, 200 slots. The surgical approach for each individual is unique: because of the hair characteristics, the relatively dense old standard round grafts and the size of the area, a mixture of several different size grafts was chosen.
