Female repair hair transplant surgery

Before surgery and 11 months later

This 53 year old patient had two previous very small surgeries with another surgeon – she felt her results provided only a minimal improvement. On inspection of her donor hair, it was noted there were two linear donor scars from each previous procedure. Fortunately she still had relatively good donor density. The superior donor scar was removed as part of Dr Unger’s surgery, in order to avoid creating another row of scar tissue. The surgery produced 1544 FU, which were relocated to the frontal block region and left side part. The patient had been very concerned about the potential for post-operative shedding because her past experience had been fairly traumatic. After this transplant the post-operative shedding was restricted to the donor area (most probably because of the second inferior scar from the previous surgeon restricting the blood flow). The patient was ecstatic with the results shown 11 months later in this photo
