This 56 year old man had been taking propecia “on and off” for four years and felt it had been ineffective. Dr. Unger explained the need to use the treatment consistently in order to derive the potential benefits, which are mainly seen in the midscalp and vertex regions. However, the patient’s area of greatest concern was the frontal region and he decided to proceed with surgery.
